Received my first ever Rivendell last weekend, very exciting! I imported the frame direct to Rivendell from Blue Lug with no problems ($77 import duty).
Since this is my first Riv. I went with a fairly standard build, as recommended by Will. Even though it's cold in St. Paul, MN I couldn't resist riding several times over the weekend. Here's a shot of the bike on the shore of the frozen Mississippi River in Fort Snelling State Park. Air temperature = -10F.
It rides like a dream and I've never experienced anything like it! Maybe it's just because it's the first high end bike I've owned or maybe there'e some mystical quality to the bike. I suspect the latter!
