You have a ton of really nice parts on these bikes. From watching and participating in rehoming bikes (buying and selling), you might want to consider splitting it up and offering the components and extras separate from the frames. Lots of people have their own collections of spare parts they want to use and many people may want some of the very nice things on the bike — but not the whole bike complete. Rather than adding items to make the sale price as a complete, I suspect you’d get more overall if you sold everything separately. My two cents, for what it is worth.

Best wishes on your adventure,

Ok,

Fielded some trade interest but nothing that fits the bill, so lets make an amendment...

Now included, (1) per bike:

Schmidt Edelux II light
VO Mojave bottle cage
Rivendell "Shiny" rear rack
Crane Bell

Let's talk!

Hey group,

With life ever-changing my wife and I are putting our (2) 60cm Platypus bicycles up for sale. We’re going to be nomadic for the foreseeable future and need less valuable bikes (we’ll see how that plays out, lol) with emphasis on shorter wheelbases for ease of transit and storage.

Through our wheeling and dealing over the years we wound up with these two beautiful 60cm Mermaid Platypus bikes, with consecutive serial numbers no less! It was a complete fluke how that played out and I still can’t believe it, but sure enough these bikes are 1 number apart. They were both purchased from the original owners and are in great condition, ready for new ownership :)

For his? How about a 58cm Ebisu All Purpose? Rivendell Allrounder? Saluki? Atlantis 2? Heron touring? Heck, maybe even a 93 X0-1? Send a DM!

If you’re interested in either or both please contact me off list.

Thanks and have a beautiful week :)
