In swapping out the Nitto Noodles (48) on my Quickbeam I thought that a dirt drop bar deserved dirt dropping tires.  The Rene Herse Hurricane Ridge (42s) fit just fine kah-nobs and kah-nubs includes.  First test ride this morning on the all pavement commute to work.  I'll hit some sand, gravel, rocks, roots and puddles for the ride home to see how these really BITE!

Wally, Great Job!

what size is your QB?
Is the clearance generous or sketch?
Everyone, do different sized QBs have different tire size clearance (mostly thinking of the fork) ?

Thanks!
Patch, who has ridden Cazaderos on their QB off-the-roads with possibly too much confidence, albeit with success, and whose QB is currently in 'storage' to protect it from a few-years hiatus in NYC wherein the other-bikes get ridden, but who excitedly looks forward to a West Coastly-imminent future

Kool. Good pictures, too. Clearance looks fine. Not ample, but not risky.
I ran Bruce Gordon Rock n Roads for a bit on my green Quickbeam, and I have the Hurricane Ridge tires (or as I call them, “42 Steilacoombs”) on the Frances. I like them quite a bit, and they change the character of the bike without slowing it down.

Love your build! How do you like the Paul cantis? And like everybody else, eager to get some feedback on the RH Hurricanes.
