Over the past few months I have tried these saddles (mostly Avatars in 143 and 155 widths),andcan only say.....Wow!

These saddles are so supremely comfortable that w/ a couple of exceptions for nicely broken Brooks, I will switch, over time, the entire fleet over to them.

Yesterday I went a bit longer than I intended (72 miles, but a nice early spring day), and while my legs were a bit knackered, everything else went well. The highest compliment I can pay these saddles is that duting a ride like this I never think about what I 'm sitting on, nor do I have to make any position adjustments on the fly, they are that good.

I would highly recommend these to anyone having comfort issues. Never thought I'd fine something better than Brooks or Selle Anatomica. Plus no rain issues.

YMMV.

Thanks for the heads up about these saddles. I've had thoughts of
venturing away from Brooks for one of my bikes (Cross Check). For now
it's got a Flite on it which I like. I'm most likely gonna give the
WTB Pure V a try, I have a friend using this saddle on his rando bike
and likes it. I also wouldn't mind revisiting the Selle San Marcos
Concur. I had one on a bike years ago and it worked well.

Thanks for the tip on the Specialized - good to know. I have cheap, 20 year old Specialized saddle on my beater bike that is still going strong.
And +1 for WTB, too. I have a WTB Pure V Pro that I like quite a bit. For some reason I just can't get Brookses to work for me.

WTB Pure V Pro here as well. Comfortable and works well. Tried the S-
Works but came back the Pure V. Also seem to get along with the
Aliante and ProLogo Scratch in the wider width. It's all so
individual.

I use a Specialized Alias on my go-fast. Not cushy comfortable, but
it stays out of the way and doesn't give me any pain or numbness.

There's a new leather saddle just coming to market under the name
Rivet. They debuted at NAHBS and apparently they sold most of what
they brought. Two widths, one Swift-like (Diablo) and the other
B17ish (Pearl), and each will come in black, white or dark brown, and
with either steel or Ti rails. I bought a brown Pearl with Ti rails
at the show, but haven't ridden it more than around the block yet. I
think we'll be hearing a lot more about these.

Thank you, Specialized... My diabolical plan is working....
Phase 1 (create new demand): complete...
Phase 2: flood the market with used Brooks saddles, thereby causing
worldwide prices to plummet
Phase 3: Start buying up unwanted inventory... and convert every
barstool in my underground lair to Brooks.

Specialized Toupe Gel -- Firm, does not feel "comfortable", but never
feels uncomfortable. The gel is very thin, not mooshy. Great saddle
for long miles. Not very rivvish, for those who care.

Then there's Specialized clothing. Their soft goods are absolutely
excellent. Not very rivvish, for those who care.

Why is that comment necessary? How does that help the conversation?
Your only goal is to mock and/or embarrass others.

I do not appreciate it and I do not think it belongs here or, point in
fact, anywhere.

snarky does not equal clever.

Now now, let's not get all earnest. It's great fun to poke fun at both
sides. After all, it's just cycling, and there are few things and
people in this world that won't benefit from a few sniggers, I
included.

Apologies. I did not intend to mock or embarrass anyone.

"Tweed Police" - that's funny, especially when tied into the "Green Police" satire ad (Audi TDI, with Cheap Trick backup) that ran in the 2011 Super Bowl, the very best ad that played that day. After all, if you can't poke fun at yourself, or tolerate a bit of fun being poked at you, then what's the point?

With my wool tweed cap firmly snugged around my size 8 head...

Grammatical mocking for Patrick: "...me included."  We expect so much more from a Latin scholar!

Sheeit, there goes my intellectual reputation. But after some quick
grammatical analysis, I think you are right.

My buddy perma-loaned me the cheap version of Avatar.  It's in my parts box.  I'll give it a go.  It's daunting facing the fact that I need to establish a 'go-to' contemporary saddle.  Since so many of the nice ones are $200 (and up) it's intimidating.
