I am gonna start with the good news: Matthew Williams' post on this forum about a 59 Clem Smith Jr on Craigslist Indianapolis helped me get a replacement bike within a week (green H-frame Clem). Yay! Thank you, Matthew and thank you, Josh in IN.

Sharing the below details in case someone comes across my stolen bike:
L-Style Clem Smith Jr., 59 cm, gray/silver frame (Serial A0A32CG0377) with mostly silver polished components: Jones H-Loop bar, Paul Love Letter levers, Crust/Nitto stem, White Industries crankset, Chromag Scarab pedals, Eno SS Hub, SON dynamo hub, Edelux headlight, Honjo fenders, Rene Herse front rack. Black components: Velocity Cliffhanger rims, Panaracer Gravel King tires, Yepp rear rack, Brooks B67.
Taken from my home in Brooklyn, NY,  November 18, 2020.

Two different Clems but both so fun!

So sorry to hear this. Was it locked up or did someone break into your apt? I'll keep an eye out...

That sucks. I’m in Manhattan and I’ll keep a lookout for it.

I am so sorry (and mad!) to hear this. I have an ongoing Craigslist search for riven* within 200 miles of Philadelphia and have not seen it. I will let you know if I do. Roberta

It was taken from the stoop. No break-in!

Wasn’t sure where to share this. I have also now posted it here: https://bikeindex.org/bikes/958201

Luckily this was my first bike theft in 44 years. Knock on wood. I still have have a Bike-Tech Toyo from a bike shop internship in Germany in 1990.

I recovered a stolen Trek 720 because of a bikeindex.org listing.  It took over a year and it was trashed but I got it back.  Good luck.  The silver lining of that theft was that it gave me the needed excuse to buy my Atlantis.

I have seen stolen bike notices posted in the bikes for sale on Craigslist.  Perhaps a notice for a few weeks will help others keep an eye out for your bike.  This way if they see it, they'll have a way to contact you thru CL.

I'd also keep an eye out on eBay, internet bike for sale internet sites and pawn shops.

I got a bike stolen about 30 years ago.  It amazes me that someone would just take what doesn't belong to him/her and that I worked so hard to buy.  I never did get it back.  I do hope you get yours back.

That bike looks/looked great! I'll keep an eye out. It's likely spray painted all one color now, tires and all, and still looks good! We'll find it, hard to miss...

Sorry about this. Unfortunately, loaded up with all those special goodies, if it gets into the hands of someone who knows bikes, it might get chopped, especially if they know it was stolen.  Hopefully your homeowners insurance can compensate you since it was on your property?
