I'm posting this for Mark from the I-Bob 'cause he's received the Dreaded Google Block on this group for no apparent reason. I'm considering this fine bicycle for myself, but it's only fair to spread the word first:

I am selling the frame/fork/Chris king headset, along with the really neat ultegra/ma2 wheels you see in the photos. Built by local master builder, 36 hole dt spokes, db. Tires and tubes are included, but not cassette. The frame is built for 47 to 57 mm brakes, with the pads at the bottom of the slots, you can use 26 inch mtb wheels 130 rear spacing, with the pads moved up, you can use 650c. I also have a very, very nice set of mavic hard anodized open pro rims laced to .dura Ace nine speed hubs, with Michelin pro race tires and ultralight tubes. We can talk about wheel sets, hey, collect them all! These have salsa skewers, with these wheels, the bike flys.

1500, if you twist my arm i will throw in the technomic stem. The frame has been framesavered, some small chips and scratches from use, but nothing bad. No dents, looks excellent from two feet away. Has rack eyelets on inside of seat stays. Oh, built by Curt Goodrich.

I have a custom 26-inch wheeled Curt Riv road bike and I can vouch for the niceness of his work. It is too bad that I need a 58 because that would very nicely fill the niche for a gofast derailleur bike. Oh, and I don't have any money, either...

Joe: why is he selling? He liked it very much from what he wrote earlier.

My understanding was it's a bit of bike-to-parts consolidation. I'm torn because the standover is good for me (I prefer more to less), but the tt length is a tossup. I've ridden 55/56 with sweptback bars, which worked; and 54/55 with drops that needed a shorter stem. Theoretically this would make a Moustache Bar setup (which stretches the cockpit a bit) work for me on this bike, which would create a Curt-built version of the original Bstone XO-1: 26-inch wheels, caliper brakes..a bike I adore. Then there's that pesky price thing...

This frame is also being offered as frame/fork/no headset for 1100 shipped. See Marks's iBob ad.

 

Will we ever get this Google Block fixed. Mark has been around here forever..it's INSANE he can't post to this list.
