Waiting for the frame saver to fully dry before finishing building it back up. I had to replace the fork and it was bare, decided to go for powder since it is my commuter and ride in plenty of weather. I am amazed that he was able to do the details and accents so well, super happy with how it turned out!

That looks great. What is the color? Looks like a golden bronze to me.

Thank you! It’s a prismatic color called whiskey bronze. The accents are RAL 1013.

I thought about it. It all kinda came together quickly and I needed my bike with fenders back ASAP! I think I’d also have to pay for another clear coat to cover the stickers. I’m torn, I really like it clean but the decals would be cool too. Staying clean for now. The head tube badge with be on soon though.

Wow, that looks amazing! Your powder-coater did a great job. Very, very nice work.

I love the color! I especially dig the cream in the RBW windows on the head tube. Nice touch!

Who is your powdercoater?

Thank you Matthew! I definitely had to pay a bit more that just any old coated but the detail he was able to add was worth it to me. I really had no idea that was possible! He did some extra spots that weren’t done before but wasn’t able to do the top of the fork crown. Ashton Palmer, he’s in Post Falls ID and I would highly recommend him. If I had the time I would have stripped the frame myself so I could have done some extra prep work. But it still turned out even better than I expected!

All back together and ready for winter! Hopefully there will be some sun tomorrow so the color actually shows… It was my first time wrapping the chainstay or using waxed twine. Wrap might be a little short looking but it will work. Don’t mind the QR lever on the drive side, trailer hitch is on the other. I had a cleaner bolt on setup but it was bent when I took it apart.

The Hunq fork doesn’t seem to have changed the handling at least. And, it has the mount for a low rider rack!

That paint color is excellent and I love that it has no advertising over it.
Just glorious prismatic paint ! ! !

Thank you Garth! I was hoping not to break any secret Riv rules by not putting decals back on. Haha!

Hi Garth,

I like the way you wrapped your chain stay. It resembles like that of a rattlesnake's skin. BTW, beautiful paint job @ !

Hey Kim, thank you! It is the rattlesnake tape from Campandgoslow. I’ve had it around for a while waiting for a time to use it and this seemed right! It is thicker than it used to be though and the wrap isn’t as long as I planned. I might rewrap it, I’ll see if it bothers me over time. I have plenty left for the front section of the bars once everything is in just the right spot!
