Derailleur Hanger Alignment

How frequent is it to get a new Riv frame that requires a hanger adjustment? I built up a Gus and I've been having issues in the largest cog with chain-to-tire rub below the chainstay. The hanger is quite a bit beefier than most of my other bikes so I'm hoping realignment won't be much of an issue. Thanks.

Been there, done that. What you may be experiencing is tire rub due to having too wide a range on too short a bottom bracket spindle. I'm guessing you've got big tires, big gears, and a relatively short spindle. Here's more info. From Riv's site: 

If you're using a Silver crank with a "MTN" front derailler, get a 113. If you're using a road front derailler: 110mm. If you're squeezing a big tire onto a Clem and want a little more chain clearance in the low gears, get a 118; It'll work perfectly.

If you have a GUS or SUSIE hillibike with a tire up to 2.5-inches, you'll need a 123 with the right-cup spacer. Wider than that, get the 127. Be prepared to struggle finding a front derailer that'll shift out that far. The derailer-makers are going to doubles.
