Hey all,
I will be in DC and the Alexandria, VA area for a few days next week. Any good bike shops/Riv dealers I should visit? Bolster my tee shirt collection?

I'm sure others will chime in, but if you have a car, College Park Bikes and Mount Airy Bikes (https://www.bike123.com) are worth a visit. Mt. Airy Bikes is like a museum, and College Park Bikes, while smaller, has quite a variety. Conte's Bikes in Old Town is just a great, friendly shop, and although not a Riv dealer, they carry All City. Big Wheel Bikes in Old Town, close to the river, is a small shop, with new and some used bikes for sale. Last time I was there, they had some old classic bikes (Colnago, etc.) for sale. Wheel Nuts Bike Shop, on the north side of Old Town, is a friendly shop. Velocity Co-op is in Del Ray, if you're looking for use bikes.

Enjoy your stay,
Tom

Might want to check out The Old Bike Shop in Alexandria. Used bikes galore - mostly for the commuting crowd, but some nice vintage stuff from time to time. I found/bought/traded for a Miayata 1000 there a while back. I think they are closed Mon and Tue. I would call to be sure.

If you are into folding bikes or recumbents then Bikes at Vienna is nearby. The owner is a member of the BOB list.

Gearin' Up Bikes on Rhode Island Ave is a co-op with a great mission, enthusiastic young workers/volunteers and a fun vibe. They tend to have an interesting assortment of used bikes/parts and occasionally a good find for cheap (were my go-to source for 7&8 spd XT when I lived in DC).

While not a Riv shop, Bikenetic in Falls Church is a great shop.  They work on Rivs, Crusts, etc., so there's usually fun stuff to look at.  Falls Church has the added benefit of being lousy with good coffee--Rare Bird Roasters, Cafe Kindred, North Side Social...The Rapha shop in Georgetown is cool--they have a good coffee bar in the shop.  Man, I must want a cup of coffee.

Enjoy your trip.

I second the Bikenetic suggestion. If you've got a couple hours and bike to ride, you can take either the Custis/W&OD trail there. As mentioned, there is good coffee, lunch options, and a record store nearby.
