Can anyone point me to a source for silver Q/R wheel skewers, 130 rear spacing? All the better if they work particularly well with horizontal dropouts (I've been having problems with slippage under high torque). Just about everything out there these days is boring black or comes in a wild rainbow of colors.

Salsa should have them in silver.

Not shiny, but that sorta' brushed finish:  http://tinyurl.com/3es4jw9
$30 you can't beat the price.

Velo Orange has some nice ones .... and they are for both 130-135mm spacing. These use the nice internal cams.

Salsa skewers are very nice, and their service/after sales department
is excellent to boot. But they're not really suitable for horizontal
dropouts. If one doesn't mind the price, occasionally, Dura Ace and
Campagnolo skewers come up on eBay. These have the internal cam
mechanism that tends to offer higher leverage and thus clamping
power. The older models with steel clamping surfaces are both cheaper
and more secure than the newer ones.

So how does the 130-135 spacing work? Does 5mm of extra axle stick out beyond the end of the nut thing? I don't get it. Or do you have to hacksaw off the 5mm you don't need?

Just leave it.... a few mm's really nothing.
