I am waiting for a new dynamo lighting system from Peter White. I have the Nitto Marks rack installed and I was planning to mount the head light to the front tab on the rack, BUT, I keep thinking that a basket mounted in front would be very handy for me. Does anyone use the medium sized basket that they sell at Riv mounted to a Marks rack? I am wondering how far over the front of the rack it mounts and if that tab would still be accessable to mount a light to with the basket attached. If not I would like some alternative mounting suggestions for the headlight. I am against mounting to the handlebar because I like to keep the bar uncluttered.

I am using Busch and Mullers Lumotec Lyt to be connected to a Dynamo Hub.

I have that rack and basket set-up on my Atlantis. it's 5/8" from front of rack to the upward bend in the basket wires, 3/8" from front of rack to the last horizontal wire before the bend. The tab is plenty accessible for a light.

Hope this helps!

Yes. It will fit with the basket oriented with its shorter length along the rack.

Here is a photo of the setup you are looking for (but on a Mini, which
has the same platform as a Mark's, n? If you use the light mount
intended for the fork crown hole, it should be dandy.

That is the set up I wanted to see. Even with the same handlebars. Thanks. Nice bike too. I love those orange Sams. Enjoyed your entire gallery.
