You're asking for too much. There's 2 or 3 Rivendell bikes located in your area that are selling for $1500-2000 (theres a $1500 clem, $2000 hillborne, $1400 quickbeam on ebay) as
completes. I see a few framesets on pinkbike, rad bazaar etc etc going for $900 and those are new. You have a used bike in a very soft market. You're basically charging full retail for a used frameset that won't come with a headset or bottom bracket, literally just frame and fork. It's also a frame thats continuously in production. Unless someone REALLY wants an orange one, they can always wait til the next run of bikes for arguably better colors.
Also, I don't agree with Joe on the tax season thing. You just overpriced your bike, it's a tale as old as time. You'll never get what you put into it. Plus you live in LA, I just saw a Larkin made in USA frameset sell for $500 a week ago there.
