Hello all!

Short Version:

Seeking a 52cm Clem (ideally Clem H, but open to Clem L), 55cm Rosco Bubbe, or any other frame with long-ish chainstays that isn't so fancy, or has seen better days. Looking to build a cheap commuter with big racks front and rear. Located near Los Angeles, open to paying for shipping.

Long Version:

Been through a whirlwind since building up my Platypus. I still ride it everyday, but since my apt building & workshop burned down in the LA fires in January, we've downsized to a small 1-bedroom apartment with a ton of stairs and without a garage. I've had to lock up my super nicely appointed Platypus in an open garage that is publicly accessible to the street. With another car broken into this last week, I need to be realistic with what bikes I can own for my new scenario, hence looking for a suitable beater frame or complete.

Yes, I will be selling my Platypus once I find a replacement. Original build thread for reference: https://groups.google.com/g/rbw-owners-bunch/c/gOS2Zt9GLJo

Thank you all!
Armand

Armand, that is a real shame you have to sell that lovely Platypus due to the impacts of the LA fires  that forced  you to move. That's a lot to go through. Not in the market...but good luck with the sale (which I hope happens before your platy goes missing) and finding a suitable beater. Maybe that Roscoe Kim posted will work...but I suspect you'll have to camouflage it a bit...All the best

+1, and sorry both about having to sell the Platypus and about losing your shop and apartment.
