I bought this one last year - saw it and couldn't resist... I think it reminded of my beloved 62 Sam which I sold a couple of years ago.

Anyway, I only got a few miles in and it rides great, well it rides like a Sam! I don't know if it's because of weather or because I have more bikes than I need it's not getting ridden enough so I'm posting it for sale here to see if someone is looking for one.

The bike is in great condition, but it has been used. As you can see it's a bit dirty around the hubs and chainrings, but shifts are smooth as butter. The break levers could use a tune up or an upgrade and new brake pads would be good too. Note the closeup where there is some paint wear from rubbing of the housing (there’s clear tape on it that’s peeling). Also, the previous owner put tape on the top tube (hard to see with the light but I think I got it) he said it was to protect the ping from more rubbing. I took it off and I think the gunk will come off but it needs to be cleaned. Also, the basket shows some rust, not sure if he had recycled it from a previous build.,

Nice bits include the Schmidt SON28 generator, the Edeluxe light and the almost new Ultradynamico 42 cava tires.

Typical Riv build, triple front with Claris FD, RD is a Shimano Altus. Atlas rims (rear is a velocity hub). Heat treated Albatross bars with Dutch grips.

Listing it for $2,500 local sale in Boston or I can drop it off at your bike shop of choice for packing and shipping but you coordinate all that (I don't want the responsibility). Please note the saddle is not included (pedals, racks and bottle cages are)

If anyone is looking for a 58 Double TT Sam frameset in black and cream, I'm now open to selling the frame and parts (minus dyno, rack and light) separately - FS post coming up soon.

Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping this bike can find a new home and someone who can truly enjoy it now that Spring is here (at least here in the Northeast where it feels like Summer). I believe the black and cream color scheme is the most beautiful ever and these 2-TT Sam rides like a dream (load it up or keep it simple and nimble).

Since I didn't get much interest on the first post, I'm listing it with a basic build and lower price. Also, I'm now open to shipping CONUS:

Complete Bike $1,950 plus shipping and packing by LBS (PayPal friends and family)
Typical Riv build, triple front with Claris FD, RD is a Shimano Altus. Atlas rims with velocity hubs (front wheel is new, I'm taking it from the new Gallop I just received). Cockpit is a heat treated Albatross bar with Dutch grips on a Nitto stem. Seatpost and pedals are included in the sale.

Please note the following items on the original photo are not included: front and rear racks, basket, bottle cages, Schmidt SON28 generator, Edeluxe light

I'll post updated photos this weekend.

*If someone is interested in a local pickup, you can save the cost of shipping and save me a headache (I hate shipping bikes around)

I can vouch for Max, here.  This bike is just wonderful.  He leant it to me for two weeks while I was visiting family in Boston, and it is an absolute joy to ride.  If it weren't slightly small for me and if I weren't trying to stick to a single bike (my Homer!),  I'd be all over it.  And I don't think you can beat the black and cream!

Best,
jason from Los Angeles

Ps. -My first time riding the with Albatross bars and, after adjusting to them, I really enjoyed them.
