Hi all,

I am very Albastache curious and have a pair that I am setting up on a Bridgestone RB-T. I am hugely inspired by all of the Blue Lug builds with Albastache on them. I think they look great and look comfortable. I'm struggling to find the sweet spot for the brake levers and how to get them to be just right. I know how to do it for drops, but it's perplexing me on these flatter bars. Anyone got any tips/tricks/ways to find the sweet spot? I've seen them set up kind of all over the place. How are you doing it?

Here's a photo of my favorite looking setup.

Thanks! - Bryan

Hi Bryan,

I ride Albastache on my Ram and like them a lot.  I've tinkered around with various setups, but like them best with the lever ends flush with the sides of the bar.  I like it this way because I tend to grip what would be the hooks of the Albastache and I could grab the ends of the levers with my fingertips.  This is a pic from an earlier setup; I've now gone to silver bar end shifters that adds ~ an inch of grip area to the ends of the Albastache.
