Pam's DIY Voile Strap Keeper Appreciation

Yesterday, while browsing riv bike dot com in search of an Irish strap, I came across an insightful March 2024 blog post highlighting Pam’s ingenious Voile strap mod: Strapper Keeper – A Tip From Pam Murray. 

I searched the archives and didn't see it shared on this list before, so I wanted to extend my gratitude for solving a problem that’s plagued me for years! 

I use voile straps to secure my u-lock, but they always dangle and fall off when I remove the lock—especially on my shiny rear rack. Last night, I modified all three of my Voile straps following Pam’s hot tip, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Not only do my straps no longer dangle and fall off, but there's an added bit of security when leaving the strap on the rack while my bike is locked up.
