Yes - I know, it's sort of cliche at this point.  Not to mention youthful, but I picked up the month's beer supply at the local supplier, and carried it home on "the truck" (54cm Hunqapillar).  It was interesting to carry that much weight (20+ lbs) on the high front, and try to meander uphill to my house, but it worked!

"Month's"?? Looks like a week's!

PSA: Costco, 24-count mix of ales, $18.99 -- good for a week or so --
if augmented with wine.

Back when I was trying out the front load system on various hacked up
beaters, my "test" was to toss two full-size cinderblocks into the
front basket: 56 lbs, IIRC. None of my beaters passed the test.

Anyone who attended the NAHBS in Sacramento this year saw the champ.  THIS may be the "month's worth" of which we speak:

What I'm getting here is, "don't drink more in a month than you can carry on a bike." If it's for an individual, I think I could... NOT do it. Nope. Unless there's a Metrofiets in my future. http://www.biketinker.com/2012/projects/metrofiets-hopworks-keg-bike/

Here's about 3.5 gallons of beer.

(very) Tenuous Riv connection: the tool bag on this bike is a Baggins Candy Bar bag.

It is heartening to witness that American Exceptionalism is a real thing!  Kudos to the beer loving bikers, and the bike loving beerers!
