Short notice but I am looking to take the family riding in the Point Reyes area tomorrow. Anyone have a nice trail to recommend? The kids sketch out on anything too technical but dirt/gravel/having to walk occasionally is fine. Trying to avoid the road as much as possible. Thanks!

Hopping on the Cross Marin Bicycle trail at Samuel P Taylor State Park is fun.  You can ride a few miles along the stream and read about some of the history of the area.

Enjoy,

Curtis

agree with Curtis. this is an old posting from the net but basically accurate. the paved part is great and the dirt part is usually in fine condition:

Or maybe this one: Bolinas Ridge Trail. I am not an off roader but ride past the entrance on my road bike all the time. Not sure degree of difficulty...and it is really close to the northern end of the one that goes through SP Taylor:

If you want to view the coast, a ride from Laguna Trailhead on the West side of the peninsula to Coast campground is nice and flat, with some gorgeous views and a great spot for a picnic while fully avoiding cars:

A bit more of a drive though...
