It's Father's day. I gave my son (who is a father) an Appaloosa. No pics. It's a standard Riv build. It needs fenders and will get P65s or B65s.
It is definitely a beast. We dialed it in for him this morning. He took it out and said: "It's like riding on a cloud. It floats on the road".
It replaces his 1981 Trek 613, which was also nice: 531 lugged. But we're talking almost 40 years old. The Appaloosa is nicer in every respect. Lug work is beautiful.
Biggest surprise: the choco-moose bars. These are big, wide, bars. Comfortable is an understatement. Second biggest surprise: huge tire clearance. The bike will take 700x55s.
