FYI: Gallop Tire Clearance

In case there are folks fretting and handwringing about tire clearance on a Charlie H Gallop, I did a test fit of a Soma Supple Vitesse EX tire on the front of my Charlie H Gallop.  It measures a true 48.0mm on 26.0mm outside width rims at 30psi.  I'd call the clearance "ample".  Insufficient clearance for fenders in my book, but y'all are grown ups and can make that decision for yourselves.  The tires are WAY too wide for wheel removal and re-installation at riding pressure.  I'm using the Yokozuna brakes that Riv sells.

It's true that I still haven't ridden it.  I have a particular use-pattern framework that has me putting in another ~500 miles before the Gallop gets into the rotation.  I just passed 1000 miles for 2025 so far, and a 200k on Saturday, so it shouldn't take long.
