Hello,
Are there any 61cm Roadini’s for sale?

Thank you.  After seeing that posting, 61cm seems too large for me. My PBH is 89 which is lowest end of Riv sizing.

Ah, that's because the seattube sizing on Roadinis is short (sloping toptube) relative to the effective toptube..it's probably sized like a normal 65cm frame.

Perhaps I can interest you in a lovely 60.5cm (normal style) custom!

Sure. Whatever.  It;s cool.  I had a friend named Steve.  He died on tour with me in Cuba in 2013.  We once paraded as doctors for preferred seating at Mosca’s outside of New Orleans in 1983.  Does that count for a discount?

I want to know more.  This might could work for me.  Thanks

Holler at Wi...@rivbike.com. He's kinda cooped up and answering emails this week/weekend, he'll give you the straight dope on that bike. I saw it live in color a few months ago at the shop and it's spectacular. Buy it, ride it!

Thanks.  Similar ride?

Oh I wouldn't know. It's a custom touring bike so I can't compare it to a Roadini, Will or Grant should be able to help with that.

The bottom line for me is if I was looking for a Riv road bike and this fit and I had the cash..no brainer, I'd buy it. Great color, great price, it's all good.

From a mechanical engineering perspective, that size frame with tubing of those diameters and that seat tube angle will most likely feel comfortable. No less than the Riadini. And tire size limits would be comparable. Some people do prefer caliper brakes to cantis, so that would be one big diff. And price, but you’re getting a builder of some renown, beautiful lugwork, great paint... I’d splurge on some 32-35 mm tires from Compass / Rene Herse on low profile rims to liven it up further. I’ve an Ebisu All-Purpose that’s basically like that, and I love it.

Wow. That “Rivendell before Grant went crazy” (that cracked me up) bike is beautiful. Clearly it needs a fixed gear conversion.
