Great pictures and beautiful color! Too big for me. What color bar tape in that? I like the contrast with the cork grips.

Bruce posted something about a 56 or 58 Atlantis would be the right size for him.  The build couldn't be better.  Seems like a natural.  Heck, if I didn't already have an Atlantis this one wouldn't still be available.

You make an excellent point and believe me, I have thought I'd just pulling the trigger and buying it. Hugh has always bought and/or created some of the best high quality products and he takes great care of them. So it has crossed my mind a few times. With that said, I already own 4 bikes and have been only riding 2 of them frequently. I'm currently trying to decide whether to keep or sell my Hillborne and Rodeo. Great bikes but they are not getting a lot of use at the moment.

What a beautiful machine, and I believe it would fit me perfectly. If not for the fact that I still haven't finished building up my Clem frame that arrived a few months ago -- and being in a general culling mode -- I'd definitely be interested.

Out of curiosity, what is your PBH? Have you ever ridden any of the other Atlantis frame sizes and compared them?

Hi Dave,

My PBH is 84cm~84.5cm and saddle height 72.5cm~73cm.

I have ridden a 53.5cm, 58cm & 61cm the 53.5cm felt small but rode really nice. The 58cm felt good and would fit me with very little standover but would work it felt a bit taller but not a deal breaker. I was planning off road riding so went with more stand over. The 61cm great but clearly too large. It was a toss up between the 56 & 58.

My Atlantis is a 58 & my PBH is 85-86 cm.  I've ridden Hugh's 56 & also Ian's 61.  The 56 would only require minor seat adjustment to fit and the 61 felt a bit stretched out, with not much stand-over clearance (on 45 mm Smart Sams).  If you look on the Atlantis sizing chart there is overlap between sizes so they're pretty versatile that way.  If your PBH is within the size range for a given size you are fine.  Let your PBH be your guide.

What color is "Ole Willy"?  He keeps popping up in various searches ... every time I think "man, that's an awesome color!".  Curious, did you ever get another Atlantis?

Thanks! I agree it's a great color. I believe it is Dupont 1650 or 29609 but to be honest I didn't save the number. It was a solid color not the solid metallic one.

I didn't answer your other question. I didn't purchase another Atlantis. I purchased a semi-custom adventure bike from Bob @ Bantam Bicycle Works in Portland. I went with my 2nd favorite color desert sand.
