Original owner, 1996 All Rounder. 59 cm, extended head tube, S@S couplers, 26 inch wheels.
Paint is beat up from years of touring and packing. Anyone have an idea what I should ask? Must sell to make room for new bike. Prefer to tour on 700 cm wheels.

If you are selling a frameset then I’d ballpark it at $650 to $1000 depending on what ‘beat up’ really means.

If you are selling a complete bike then I presume you’d expect to get more, but it depends on what all can be kept and what all needs to be replaced.

Just bumping this for Lee. He and I already were discussing the sale of his All-Rounder before his post, but he was looking for estimates on value given the condition. I’ll stay out of the estimates, obviously, but I’m hoping he gets some answers.

Lee, I agree that pictures will help people judge the condition.

Cheers,
Matt

Well, if you spend $$ (maybe 400-500ish at Waterford) to get it refinished you have a frame that would be $3000 to buy.

I would think that someone that wants the benfit of the S&S and 26" wheels (to fit into case easily) that 1500 would be a fair all around ;) price!

Perhaps I value these inanimate objects too much...

Responded to Lee. He is getting it repainted :( I was hoping it would be coming home to Nashville.

The owner is obviously free to do whatever he wants with this frame, I'd be interested to see the ROI from a repaint.
It's something I've thought about a few times before a sale, but never gone for it.
I also realize its somewhat impossible, as you'd never truly know what it would have sold for before its repaint.

I only hope we all get to see these repaint pics at least :)
Best of luck to you Lee, did you pick a color yet ?

He’s going with a green that ideally matches what he had. It is a nice color.
