BES: require the current Shimano/Silver type pod, not the old Suntour barcon type. Also, must be able to shift a modern rd across 11 cogs.

Prefer the short, stubby Shimano-type levers instead of the dt-type Silver levers, but will consider Silvers if price right.

Need only right side but will consider pair if price right.

[This will shift the Sturmey Archer TF and TC hubs. The present 7 sp Suntour Accushift BES has barely enough pull for the TF and probably won’t have enough for the TC.]

Saddlebag: The small Sackville on the rear of my gofast Riv custom fixie is really too big for that bike. I want something about the size, or a bit smaller, of the Carradice Junior, 9 liters, big enough for a jacket and pair of lobster gloves in winter on top of bulky repair kit, and for 3 25 oz cans of Foster’s ale, but no bigger.

Prefer an old-fashioned transverse saddlebag.

Black, dark gray, tan, dark blue, red.

LMK what you have.

Thanks.

I have a microshift 11 speed bar end shifter for Shimano that's never been crashed, but the rubber cap wants to slide off of, and a blue banana sack that I would sell.

Thanks, Conway. Can the rubber cap be glued back on securely? That is, it’s not torn or otherwise completely compromised? And does it have a friction mode?

I’d like to see photos of both if you can send.

Thanks, Patrick

What about Simplex Retrofrictions? Mine wrapped very little cable, such that swinging a Campy Croce d'Aune across a full 7-speed cluster required about 3 o'clock to 10 o'clock worth of lever travel. (With the centerline of the downtube running from 3:00 at the head lug to 9:00 at the BB.) And they're the best-looking, best-feeling shift levers ever made, so bonus.

They’re my favorite too, and in fact I have a couple of spare pairs besides the ones shifting the 2X10 dirt road bike drivetrain, but they’re harder to install and remove than those with the Shimano-type pods, and it’s a QR shifting system that I want for this bike.

I just realized that I can just as easily use a left had shifter but I think — y’all can correct me — that right side 10 or 11 speed BES will pull more cable, and my IGHs seem to require a heckofalot of cable pull.
