My old, bought-used, 215 gr Xpedo double-sided SPD clones with ti spindles have a published weight limit of 180 grams.

I was 162 at last weighing.

The bike on which I think of installing them is a fixed gear.

I’m hardly a torque monster, being (as little children like to carefully explain), 70 and a half, but I do tend to stand and torque up hills rather than sit and twiddle.

Yes, I realize that I’m trying to push off responsibility for an informed decision onto other people, but still, humor me: would you ride 180-limit pedals if you weighed 18 lb less than that, and liked ot stand when you climb?

Thanks.

PS: Perhaps I should use the XC Pros and MKS Deep Clips with clip pads and strap pads and strap buttons and newly Vibram’d Duegis on this bike, instead.

When thou didst not, savage, know thine own meaning,

But wouldst gabble like a thing most brutish,

I endowed thy purposes with words that made them known.
