His magnum opus was "The High Cost of Free Parking"  https://www.researchgate.net/publication/235359727_The_High_Cost_of_Free_Parking, which has influenced many urban planners and researchers.

I was a research assistant for him in the 80s. He was both really smart and a very nice guy. Rode a 3-speed Raleigh, often in a tweed jacket.
