Is anyone using a Tumbleweed Rack

Hi Everyone,

Is anyone using a Tumbleweed Rack (either version) on the front?

I have a 26" Hunqapillar fork with the bosses on top of the fork crown. I'm wondering if anyone has made a Tumbleweed T Rack or Mini Panner rack work that way.

If so, which wheel size do you have and which rack size did you choose?

Howdy-

I've got the mini pannier rack on the front of my 29er Appaloosa. I chose the longer-strutted version. It's a great rack!

Are your upper struts attached to the bosses on top of the fork crown?

I do have it on the fork crown eyelets! I like it there! I used some already-cut tubus struts rather than cutting the originals. Photo attached.

You can see that I have a Shovel Research Fork Crown Mounted Cable Hanger and some big ole cantis which create lots of interference points. I appreciate this mounting position for the rack to entirely skirt the cantis/hanger entirely.

Hey Eric, I have the silver T rack on my Appaloosa (size 54cm with 700c wheels, 380mm rack version). I really like it. I have since put a 139 basket on top, just with zip ties. 

It was fairly easy to install myself, I did a bit of a hack job cutting the struts with a home jigsaw but they come with rubber caps so all good.

Isaak, I want to use the Shovel Research cable hanger as well. I was using the Tektro hanger with a Nitto Mini and I just didn't trust that setup.  I have to think about whether the Tumbleweed is "too much rack" as compared to my Nitto 32F which I've used with the Tektro hanger.  I just didn't like that setup and the rack being involved in the brake system.
