Here's my very untimely write up of the annual Redlands Strada Rossa ride way back in March.

Hey I've been busy.

Here it is.

No worries; we have all been there when life gets in the way of things.  Thanks for the write-up & photos.

Always glad to read another blog post, Hugh, however tardy!

But regarding PL23s: I can attest to the difficulties of getting tires on and off them -- I just replaced my 26" tubes with 27.5" ones over the weekend on my 1st-gen PL23 rims; the Hetres seat perfectly once installed, but what a PITA to get that bead over!

Thanks Doug and Bob!

Bob, my plan is to eventually go tubeless. I have a brand new pl23 ready to build but need a WI m15 hub. Priorities at the moment are about getting my old MTB running again and trying out my new bike packing luggage.

And Doug I decided to buy the Kona 1" threadless rigid fork. Gonna get those bars up and use a Jones bar.

Cheers,

~Hugh

"... buy the Kona 1" threadless rigid fork. Gonna get those bars up and use a Jones bar. "

That makes a lot more sense than all the messing around I did.  The angel on the Jones bars seems quite natural & comfortable.  Look forward to seeing the finished project.
