Continuing from this thread about tents and bike camping, https://groups.google.com/g/rbw-owners-bunch/c/hH06mjMcoes/m/0l5by-LsAAAJ ,  I now am asking for recommendations (or for sale offers) for a sleeping pad, and perhaps a quilt for late spring, summer, early fall use.

I purchased the two person tent that Julian offered, and the tent pegs that Ryan F. recommended.  I also purchased a lightweight mallet.  I have a lightweight sleeping bag liner that I can use when very warm overnight.  I do not expect to camp in cold weather.

I'd be using this setup for bike trips, where I have to carry equipment and kayak trips, where weight is nearly a non- issue (kayaks are more limited to what you can put in the hatch.    Also, I'm planning to travel a bit, so might look for campsites  to ease the $$ of hotels.

Any recommendations (or offers to sell used) equipment?  I want to strike a balance between $$ and comfort/weight.

Thanks, again.

Hi Roberta!

I rock a Klymit Static V sleeping pad. I've had it for many years and it's held up great. Taking it backpacking, bikepacking, car camping, and snow camping. I'm not a fan of foam pads, this packs down light and small. And it's noisy.

I'm not a quilt person, but for sleeping bags I don't think you can do better than Montbell. They have a well priced quilt that they call a Down Sleeping Wrap #5. I have their down mummy also in #5 as my 3 season bag. It's a bit lighter than the quilt and packs down super small, but that "wrap" looks pretty damn good :)

This quilt: https://enlightenedequipment.com/revelation-sleeping-quilt/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc&utm_campaign=bp-competitor&utm_content=&utm_term=&matchtype=&network=x&device=c&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21046587331&gbraid=0AAAAADliJ_rbtD3nTT-bdRhCEh5cTk6z-&gclid=CjwKCAjwwJzPBhBREiwAJfHRnQ7CVYQlcwtoQHgXjRADJa8P7bEVRVCcyx9uSwxuDJ0yfwsl9sctoxoCJpkQAvD_BwE

And get a silk sleeping bag liner so you keep your gear clean! Browint Silk Sleeping Bag Liner, Silk Sleep Sack, Extra Wide 87"x43", Lightweight Travel Sheet for Hotels, More Colors for Option, Reinforced Gussets https://a.co/d/0dJmuBDA

Oh, and wear Keen sandals because they are waterproof. You can ride in comfort all day and then tromp into the showers with them. This serves 2 purposes: 1. Protect you from gross public shower germs 2. Clean your Keens.

Also a happy Klymit Static V user.  A note that you can get a reasonably priced down bikepacking quilt on Etsy.

This has been said before but given the overlap between bike and backpacking gear, I suggest checking out the Outdoor Gear Lab reviews.
