I had really good reasons to buy a RoadUno and a Charlie Gallop.  I like them both and I've ridden them each a few hundred miles.

I'm crammed to the gills in my garage space and would really like to downsize a little bit, so I'm contemplating a two for one conversion.  I'd offer up both my 58 RoadUno and my Charlie H Gallop and replace them with a Rivendell step-over: either a YelloWolleY complete or a Betty Foy complete that is on my local Craigslist.  So, this is where I'm officially offering you the opportunity to participate.  I'm already in discussion on a frame set plus wheel set deal on my 57cm dark gold Gallop, and so with this post I'd like to toss out there my 58cm Silver RoadUno frame set plus wheel set in a package.  I would offer the Frame/Fork/Headset, along with the stock St Jump wheels, with stock Gravel King SK tires and tubes, for $1600 plus shipping.  I'll also include the $115 Nitto S83 seatpost.  That's a lot more than the half-retail I keep saying every thing second hand should be priced at, but that's why it's a "choose my adventure".  If the universe tells me to keep this great bike, I'll just keep riding it.

Here is a Flickr album with lots of photos of the bike, in a couple different configurations.

Let me know if you want to talk about a RoadUno.  Also, if you have a strong opinion on whether I should buy a YelloWolley or a used Betty Foy, throw that out there as well.

Alas, too big for me

If it were me, I love the yellow color...and I can't think of anything egregious on the build I'd change...except maybe, at some point the tires...but knowing you (virtually), of course,Bill,  I  am sure Yellowolley won't stay stock. Cheery color and who doesn't need a little sunshine in their life right now?  :)

I just called Riv to confirm that the YelloWolleY will indeed have barrel adjusters on the down tube mounted to DOWN TUBE SHIFTER BOSSES!!!  They confirmed.  They have concluded that down tube shifter bosses are:

1. objectively heavier than slotted stops
2. objectively more expensive than slotted stops
3. objectively stronger than slotted stops
4. inherently give you a convenient place to have a barrel adjuster, unlike slotted stops
5. objectively give you the flexibility/option to run a DT shifter unlike slotted stops

more expensive and heavier is justification enough for a Rivendell, haha!  But it further solidifies that my conceptual YelloWolleY could be a slick 2x1 or 3x1 with just a DT shifter, just like my RoadUno is now.  That makes the substitution even easier to justify.

I'd say definitely no.  I consider myself at the BOTTOM of the range for the 58cm size.  A lot of people my height would probably go the next size down.  Any smaller than me would be a problem I think.
