I noticed this morning that the Appaloosa page has been updated with a painted sample tube. Looks like a creamy sage. Wow!

Looks a lot like the Platypus "blue silver" which is really more of a blue-green - and I LOVE it.  Really love it.  If I didn't have the Bombadil I'd be lining up for an Appa in this color.

Yeah, the Riv I most want is an Apppaloooosa (tears emojis) and this color is so sweat. I also dig the mustard they did a few years back.

Jason, seeing as you have another post about which color to paint the Bombadil, I think this is the one! I also don't need a Appaloosa (have an Atlantis) but I do really like this color.

Tim - I agree COMPLETELY, though from what I've learned from Leah, they use a totally different paint coding scheme in Taiwan vs. North America, so I can't get the code and would instead need to have the paint take a guess and blend it up.  But heck, even a few shades either side of this would be great.

As someone who's already ordered that wonderful blue-green/Mermaid blue/Seafoam on my Platy, I AGREE, any color near it would be great.  Do you think that it is the same color as the Platy?

Looks like the same paint to me!

Given the new website and generally tech-unsavvy nature of Riv, I wouldn't be surprised if those tubes were meant for the Platy page and we're imagining a Joe that doesn't exist :D  But just as likely it's a new cross-model introduction colour!

Loved that color on the platy. The pics from blue lug made me fall in love with it. I hope it doesn't end up on the appa cause I really don't need to be buying a new bike for a while! hah

Very plausible theory, Jason!

Here's another thought: I wonder if this color will be used with several frames, similar to how the deep orange color was used across a bunch of models recently.

From the 11/20 newsletter. I read it as though the frames would share the same color: Mermaid.

I hope it is the same because I love the “Joe” color and I’m getting a Platy.

Just for more assurance, Wil said (in a weekly email late last year) this color would be offered on both frames in the batches that are due this year. Officially named “blilver” but as others have stated “mermaid” seems more fitting, IMO.
