I probably would. I bought the Gallop in anticipation of a bike tour. My college roommate is a middle school teacher and does a big Europe exploration every summer. He asked me to pencil in a 2 week cyclotour of French Chateaus in summer 2027, so I bought the Charlie Gallop to be that credit card touring bike for 40-50 miles a day for two weeks.
My old college roommate now is in a serious relationship and his summer vacation priorities have...migrated. The penciled in cyclotour is being erased, and I'm substituting a construction project in its place. So, I don't need my light-weight step-over quite as much. My Roaduno is my upright townie. I'm totally into the 2x1 drivetrain, but I'm also set up to convert virtually ANY bike to a 2x1 or 3x1 in a heartbeat. So I could fill my upright townie and step-over slots with a single YelloWolleY.
Both frame sets are still available at Rivendell in my size(s) for $1750. I don't like undercutting Riv, or taking their customers, but I also realize some people just hate paying retail. Maybe I'll throw another "choose my adventure" thread and offer them up, and see what happens. It would be a 58cm RoadUno and a 57 Dark Gold Gallop.
