I may have stumbled upon the original inspiration for Rivendell blue in the sexy form of a 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT. The car owner offered to buy my bike he was so taken with the match (but bike rack posed a challenge). For Riv owners needing touch up paint look no further than Blu Chiaro Metallizzatto. Ciao

Remember, a Dino 246 is just a Dino. It was not a Ferrari back then. Dinos did not get Ferrari badging until 1976 and 246s were only produced until 1974.

That Riv blue is the prettiest blue I've ever seen on a bike. I'm happy to own one in that color! It looks pretty good on the Dino, too.
