I got my consort a 45cm Clem-L complete bike. This arrived Saturday, and I put it together today.

Peeking in the box: fun with lossless compression.

Out of the box, but still in a yoga position.

Now it's a bike (some assembly and a bit of grease and anti-seize required).

Immediately thereafter, the bike escaped the basement and Ellen did some tentative riding, to permit adjustment of saddle and handlebar height (both lowered). She also discovered that V-brakes aren't like the other children, but no harm done (I think). Still to be added are lights, a bell, a water bottle cage, and a saddlebag, and likely a set of Compass Naches Pass Extralights. We'll take a shake-down cruise together tomorrow.

The seatpost is backwards in the photo. I'm sure you know that?

Thanks, that explains some anomalous behavior of the saddle horn. I was moving fast, and missed it.

Here's the bike on NBD+1, with the seatpost rotated 180deg and the saddle rotated 360deg (thank you, Bill), with a Crane Suzue bell and a tail light installed.

As luck would have it, the rain dragons decided to go on maneuvers today, so the shakedown cruise got punted to tomorrow...

Now it's got a headlight and a bottle cage, and has been ridden for a pleasant diagnostic ride, which resulted in tweaking the saddle angle further, and also produced smiles.

We took an 11-mile ride together this afternoon. She's definitely warming to it. Someone called out, "Nice Rivendell!" as we rode by.

Hi Rod,

That was me in Arlington Center getting ice cream with my son. We took the HHH-- I added fenders this morning and a rear rack last night in prep for Swift Solstice Campout.
