I had to laugh at myself this morning; I looked like a Riv Blue Plate
Fashion Special: orange Wooly Stubby cap, WoolyWarm Buttnup sweater,
Teva Hurricanes with striped shorties hopping on my similarly attired
Saluki: tan Baggins Li'l Loafer and craggy old Adam, mini racks front
and back, m'bars and dirt-drop, rapid rise and silver bar-ends,
sackville mudflaps.

Smiling as I rode, and thinking how it all suits me in every way, I
also realized that here I was riding the bike, with its original style
decal and low serial number, that brought the 650B back from oblivion
and how perfectly it is suited to the smaller rider and how soft the
ride is over the traintracks and how this is a company that has truly
enriched my life ... All this at a sunny and crisp 52 degrees under
maples and basswoods with my partner alongside on her Quickbeam.
These are moments of bliss.

Just thought you all could relate.

Umm. Where do you live, again?

B/c 52 degrees would be very nice to see. :)

Sounds like a great ride.

You know... if you'd like to rub it in more you could take pictures of
your commute. :)

I rode to work today in jeans and a polo shirt on a cool (58 degrees) Northern California morning.

I live in south Minneapolis and commute to downtown St. Paul. And
yes, 52 is very nice to see here as well!

It does sound nice, doesn't it?

It was 44 degrees this morning here in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 63 degrees outside now. My favorite time of year!

It's 83 here at the moment and right now I think the humidity is 140%.

57 degrees this morning for me. First time I wore my Woolly vest over a long sleve regular (non-wool) jersey and a thin Craft sleeveless first layer. Felt very nice and it didn't itch. Also, rode for the first time with a pair of Aerotech designs Capri shorts. They're not as long as the Riv knickers, but they are all stretchy and extremely comfortable. Good range of useful pockets. For me, until the Riv knickers fit better (I need to lose some more weight) these are an excellent alternative. Their fabric feels warm on the legs once the sun comes out and the temperature raises over 70.

I too, am ready for Fall!

I won't post the weather report because ours is dismal this week.  But I just wanted to say that your post is inspiring and I can identify in a vague sort of way.  Happy for you and I wish you enjoyment of  your bike and weather!

Riv poncho today in Nashville! I stopped by my LBS and they were floored by its functionality (not by the style statement, as far as I could tell).

Between last weeks hurricane and this weeks soaking rain, I should be
in a Grundens.
