WTB: a botched/damaged/cheap! VO constructeur rear rack

Hi all

Putting out a feeler to see if there's a VO constructeur rear rack
lurking out there that would work for a project I have going... it
would involve my chopping the mounting tabs unforgivably short, in
order to fit onto the Lyon trailer cycle:

The ever-generous Mr. Moore has sent two broken segments of a hammered
Honjo 559, which I am gussetting back together. Still, the large arc
of coverage demands a creative solution for supporting the fender at
more points than just the tail alone. Even if I added a descender from
the seat tube binder, it'd be rather flimsy setup. Now, I'm thinking
how tres cool would it be to have the rack's fender brazeons provide
dual service of securing of the gusset plate and keeping the fender
firm?

Anyone have a sloppy rack I could put back in service?

I don't remember whether anyone from VO reads this list, but you could try to contact them directly.  They're nice folks and they might have something lying around.

If you don't find one, a new one is only $80.

I might have have what you are looking for.  I used to have one on my old bike.  I had to cut off the botton part of the tabs so only the top whole was used.  I will send you a picture this evening after I put the kids to bed.  You can have the rack for shipping if it is what you are looking for.
