This frame popped up on the group before, maybe September last year?

Not the best Ebay listing in terms of photos or descriptions, but it got my attention as I had just been turned down for a custom from Riv, and this one looked pretty much like the one I would have had them build. I owned another similar 700c All Rounder a while back, and regretted selling it. The price was kind of high for me at the time. I asked the seller a couple questions that went unanswered, so I left it be until I recently got an offer with a BIG reduction in price.

Long story short it arrived today, and it exceeded all my expectations.

It's nearly indistinguishable from NOS! Happily it is a genuine Mark Nobilette build from 2014. 62cm. 700c wheels. Joe Bell paint dated 5/9/14 on the steering column. The packing was the best I've ever seen. This thing is flawless!

I had a set of wheels with 2" Big Ben's handy, so I dropped them in as a test. MORE than enough room, and I could go much fatter.

It's going to be a joy building this up. I have just about everything I need already.
I was bummed when Riv told me they were not doing customs anymore. This makes up for it. More pics to come...

Fun.  Enjoy that process.  Is it 135 in back?

Yes - 135. Debating a headset now - that Herse we discussed is looking good, but I'm attending a big swap on Sunday and might find something there.

Niiice.

Hope the offer was good.

It had sat for a while at the asking price.

Looks absolutely amazing tho!

Congrats.

Ah! I was wondering where this went today--I saw it disappeared from my watched items.

Congratulations.  It's gorgeous.  You know what's kinda beautiful about that color too -  it looks very close to All Rounder #1 that was built for Chris Kostman.  Kind of a nice first / last symmetry.

Really cool! I love the color! Maybe the fork has a Hunqapilar fork crown?

Nice! Since you couldn't get a custom, I'm glad the seller dropped the price and your patience was rewarded. Can't wait to see it all built up! Good luck with your headset search...although, those RH headsets, I'm sure, are money well-spent.

I do like those classic Rivs and Mark Nobilette sure does beautiful work

Marty, that's such a pretty frame. Congratulations! And +1 on the packing. Whoever packed it cared enough about the frame to ensure it would arrive to you unblemished. Have fun putting it together.

Best,

Is that a piece of plastic rain gutter used to protect the top of the frame?  Were there faux axles in the dropouts?

Not a rain gutter Mike, just some random pieces of cardboard used to center the frame in the box. It did have faux axles both front and rear. I'm taking inspiration from the use of pipe insulation for my next bike shipment. Really well done.

Look forward to seeing this built up. I put some attempts at improved images in your heads-up posting back in Sept:

This would be a great fit for me so I had watched the listing too. Joe Bunik had asked if anyone new if he was a list member here in Dec. I almost wrote to say I had bought off of ebay from him in 2014-15  (a couple Riv type products). He is a trusted ebayer and I have a feeling he at least lurks these listings like myself.

Quick update - headset installed and Bruce Gordon Rock & Road 48s installed (with room to spare). I have a TA Zephyr in waiting, but need a longer axle. For now, a Specialized "flag" crankset will suffice. I think we're getting used to chainstays that need their own zip code, but I kind of like the classic proportions of a yesteryear bike - it just feels right to me. More to come...

Looking great Marty! I wish those R&R tires would fit on my QB, that would be awesome.
