Riv Bike Appreciation Ride June 27th in Portland

I'm co-leading a Riv Appreciation Ride with my friend Jill as part of Portland (OR)'s annual Bike Summer/Pedalpalooza on Saturday, June 27th. We're meeting at Piccolo Park in SE at 12:30pm, rolling out at 1pm, and we'll be going for 4.5 miles on mostly chill streets up to Golden Pliers bike shop. It's a short, fun, social ride, so going at about a 10ish mph with a short stop for beverages/snacks. You don't have to have a Riv- all mechanical bikes are welcome :)

If you're in the Portland area, come join! I led another Riv ride back in 2022 but haven't done one since, so I'm really looking forward to this one. I'll be riding my Platypus. Message me with any questions about the ride!

Brilliant. I grew up in Portland and spent about 6 years car (and care) free living in town in my twenties between comings and goings. Pedalpalooza (in tandem with Pickathon) was always a highlight since it fully scratched the festival itch without having to leave town. Enjoy the ride my friends!

The past rides were so much fun. I am getting married that day but hopefully next year I'll make it with my wife. I just need to find her a Rivendell by then.
