This bike is a blast to ride. Light, nimble, lugged steel frame with
intuitive handling. And quiet! Even the bell is polite. But between my
other bikes, I just don’t reach for it enough to justify holding on to
it.
I believe I'm the third owner. If I’m deciphering the bottom bracket
stamp correctly, it’s from 2002. Previous owner added powder coat and
ran this more as a stealthy city bike. I tried to nudge
the build a little more classic. I also installed new cables, housing,
bar tape, kool stop brake pads, and replaced the worn bottom bracket
with a lightly used BB-6500. There is a very small, shallow dent on the top tube, see image, but everything’s in great shape and ready to
ride.
