Items for sale to help a friend

*I will be updating this list of items for sale as I take more pictures, gather more prices, and decide what else to part with.
I’ve been inspired by Riv’s spirit of supporting those in need and have decided that 100% of the proceeds of everything that sells will go to support a friend who’s mother is battling ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease—a rare and progressive neurological disease that primarily affects the nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscle movement.
A little over a year ago, my good friend Marisa’s mother was diagnosed with ALS. It has been an agonizing year for both of them. The emotional toll is immeasurable. Given the fact that her mother lives nearly three hours away and requires round the clock care, Marisa has begun to fall into financial hardship while spending time caring for her mom. She is a hairdresser in Los Angeles and she can’t cut her clients’ hair while caring for her mom up in Santa Maria.
Some close friends and I are hoping that we can chip in to support her so that she can spend what time remains with her mother being present and not worrying about the unmanageable debt that’s piling up.
Prices are what I estimate they are worth given current market value but if you feel like being generous, know that 100% of it goes to my friend. I ask that you please add $15 for shipping. The actual cost to ship from Los Angeles may be more or it may be less. If its less, that will go to my friend too. If it’s more, I will cover the difference.
Some items may be bicycle-adjacent (camera bags, etc.) Under normal circumstances I’d never post non-bike items for sale in the group but since it goes to a good cause, I figure it does more good than harm.
