I've been wanting to test my Grunden's rain hat for a couple of years now but with our intermittent rain and the opportunity to schedule my rides for my convenience, I hadn't until just now. Wunderground timidly suggested a 34% or somesuch of rain this afternoon, mostly later in the day, but lo and behold about 1 pm as I was halfway home from church it started to rain heavily; I stopped to put on the Campmor cape and the hat that I'd prudently stashed in my seat bag.

I can say that the hat works very well, much better than a hood, and that the front brim does not as I feared come down below eye level.

Four thumbs up -- highly recommended.

Actually, I have been caught in the rain a few times in the last couple of years, but always without my rain gear.
