On google groups, I have a tapebubba email. The reason for that is one of my hobbies. I make wallets out of tape. Back when my kids were small I had an etsy store, and I've sold ~1000 tape wallets. I do a lot less taping now than I used to, but I still have a massive tape inventory, and I'm on a mission to compress that inventory from 3 huge storage boxes down to 2 huge storage boxes. So, I'm taping...
Up for offer is a batch of my most stripped down minimalist wallet. I call it the Brevet Wallet. It features a drivers license window, one additional internal pocket and one external pocket. The idea is you'll use your Brevet wallet when all you need to carry is your drivers license, one ATM/credit card, and a folded up $20 bill. It makes a perfect "clubbing wallet" as well.
The differentiator between Tapebubba wallets and "duct tape wallets" is that I optimize 5 different kinds of tape for various construction elements. The not-so-secret weapon is gaffer tape, which is far better than duct tape in abrasion resistance and reluctance to get sticky at the edges.
Despite my use of premium tape, the Brevet Wallet lasts longest when not overstuffed, and it's better not to run it in your hip pocket and sit on it all day every day. It's best for a handlebar bag, a jersey pocket or a front pocket.
Here's a Flickr link:
That show my current inventory of 10 Brevet wallets. They are $10 each, shipped. Let me know if you want one.
