Hi RBW Friends-

I took the plunge and bought Rene Herse tires (formerly Compass) after they introduced the Endurance Casing for tires that could fit on my Sam Hillborne.

My second ride out, I slipped and have decided these are too low-profile for my style of riding.

I'm in Seattle and would prefer a local deal, cash, (I work in downtown Seattle) but could be primed to ship them to cont'l US. (I would need to set up a PayPa; account)

$110, very lightly used. Tubeless compatible, this version has the endurance casing.

What sort of surface did you slip on?

You're style of riding is in parking lots? Grin.

If not, and roads of all types tend to be where you do most of y our riding, you may be dismissing them too quickly. Perhaps any tire would have slipped in a parking lot? They are riff with oil spots, after all.

With abandon,
Patrick, who loves his Barlow Pass and Steillacom for all roads and many trails, but avoids oil spots and slick ice no matter the tire.

Thanks, Deacon Patrick. You might be right... thanks for the advisement. I put on a pair of semi-knobby Gravel Kings (Panaracer) and gotta admit... I feel a lot more confident/settled. It looked like the Home and Garden team had just finished their watering and I did ride through the wet patch they left behind, that could be the culprit, but I rode for 5 years on Marathon Supremes and they laughed in the face of such obstacles.
