CA Southbay Riv owners

Hello

I'm looking to connect with a Riv owner in the South Bay (San Jose, Cupertino, Los Gatos, etc.) area. As I prepare to get my first Riv bike, I'd love to hear your thoughts on what has worked well, what to watch out for, and any advice for building and maintaining the bike. It would be helpful to see your setup and learn about your experience firsthand.

I plan to visit Riv HQ, but I believe hearing from experienced Riv owners could give me valuable insight. A few years ago, I had a Crust Lightning Bolt built (sight unseen), and it unfortunately didn’t work out for me—the derailleur hanger bent significantly within a few months, the shifters had issues, and I eventually had to part ways with the bike. I’m hoping to avoid similar issues this time around.

If there are any South Bay Riv owners willing to show me their bike and share their experiences, I’d be very grateful.

According to the Map of Rivendell Riders, there seem to be at least 3 people in the South Bay with whom you might connect. I imagine there'd be more.

If they don't reach out, I believe you'd be welcome to connect with them.
