2019 MIT 650b Homer Hilsen Q's

Hello everyone! Does anyone know the max tire clearance for the 2019 Homer Hilsen? I have a 58cm sized one that has 650b wheels. I currently have it set up with 650bx42 soma cazaderos.

Looking to get a set of ultradynamico cava JFF 650bx47, but unsure if those will fit. Want to know if anyone's tried something that size or similar?

Also, if anyone has a 650b rim brake dynamo wheelset they'd like to offload, please let me know! Also if you've got a set of 650b jff cava laying around, I'd be interested too

Hi Adrian - which wheels do you have? My AHH has CR18s with 18mm internal diameter, and a set of 650x47 WTB Byway measure at 43mm with room to spare. I 100% think you could get a true 47mm tire on there.

I wish I was able to ride larger frames. My 50cm Toyo AHH can’t clear Rene herse juniper ridge (47/48cm) in the rear. Sigh… I agree with Jim though. Your frame should be fine Adrian! I’ve seen some Homers clear 700 x 45cm though not sure what year or where those were manufactured.

James - do you think the knobbies on the juniper ridge have something to do with it? I wonder if they were slick, it would work.

@ James S. I'm unsure of what rims I have, I picked them up in a pinch off of FB marketplace due to denting an old set. Can't find any distinguishing marks on the wheel itself, other than it having deore hubs. I think I might just pull the trigger and hope for the best.

@ James no S., like the other James said, maybe try going with a slicker tire? I know knobs can reduce the clearance by a bit, maybe some gravelkings?

Alright guys! I decided I'm going to try and fit the tires. Anyone have a set of 650b x 47 or 650b x 48 tires for sale? Gravel Kings, Ultradynamicos, etc etc?
