Good Afternoon,

I need a new cover for my B-17. I am considering one of the Randi Jo models.

If you've used either the waxed or Nylon I'd be interested in your experience.

@Michael,

A couple of years ago, I ordered a blue nylon seat cover for my Brooks B67S saddle from Randi Joe Fabrications. It has held up very well. I am very happy with it. There is a feature on the seat cover, a flap that extends up and underneath the saddle to protect the it from rain water and dirt from flying on the underside of the seat with snap fastener. I do use this, because my bicycle is full fendered on both wheels.  Also, there are custom elastic holes to mount the cover around the metal rear saddle loops.

Overall, it is a finely crafted and well designed bicycle saddle cover. I would not hesitate to buy another one, if mine were to get lost or damaged.

As for the waxed seat cover that Randi Joe offers, it my need regular attention in replying a specific wax periodically to maintain its water repellantcy ?
You would have to ask Randi Jo.

I run the waxed Randi Jo cover and ride it nearly every day as a commuter. I don’t ever bother taking it off. It’s held up for maybe 1.5-2 years now and is still waterproof. I have a covered spot at work, but it’s seen plenty of rain on errand rides and the like. Just got rained on maybe a week ago when I went out for drinks with a friend, no issues. Love it

I’ve used all of the Randi Jo saddle covers, both nylon and waxed.
B-17 through B-68. All are fantastic. And made in beautiful
Elkton, Oregon.  And you’re supporting a small business by buying
one…or three..

One note about all saddle covers: None are meant to stand a
day of rain, like when leaving your bike locked up outside at work.

Get a bag to throw over the saddle cover. Or — better yet — park
your bike under something or bring it inside.
