A Waterford-built Rivendell A. Homer Hilsen that was returned to them for a professional repaint and converted to a unique AHH 650b with cantilever brakes. (See attached geo sheet from Waterford when the redid it.)

Intended as a comfortable all-road and randonneur bike built around 650b wheels with Phil Wood hubs, Velocity Dyad rims, and Rene Herse Babyshoe Pass extralight tires. It has primarily been ridden on pavement, and has never been used for gravel or off-road riding. (I have other bikes for that.) It’s very comfortable on long rides and has that wonderful “steers itself” feel on the road.

Build highlights:

• White Industries VBC crankset, 46/28, well used, but lots of miles left.
• Velocity Dyad wheels with Phil Wood hubs
• Rene Herse Babyshoe Pass Extralight tires
• Dura-Ace 9-speed bar-end shifters
• Nitto Fairweather Mod.174 handlebars

• TRP RRL-SR brake levers
• Nitto Technomic stem
• Nitto seatpost
• Paul cable hanger

The drivetrain is a CX-70 front, RD-M592 rear with waxed chain.

Condition is very good overall. There is a small cosmetic double ding in the top tube, shown in photos. I’ve tried to accentuate them, if anything. One view is from the top, where you can see the dings aren’t visible. The gunmetal color sparkles in the sunlight. Happy to send more photos or do a video.

Matching touch-up paint, bought from Waterford, will be included.

Berthoud saddle, bottle cages, rack, bag and pedals in photos are not included. The Rene Herse crankset (seen in one photo) isn’t part of the package. Like anything, if the price is right…

Located in St. Louis, Missouri. I can take to local bike shop to box and ship at buyer’s expense.

$2,950.

Thanks,

Matt

Don't do it, Matt!

Can vouch for Matt. This bike is just as beautiful in person as it is in photos. Very cool and unique bike.
