Will a pitlock seatpost skewer work on a Sam Hillborne? If so, what
size skewer?

No, it won't work.

Actually,

I took mine along with my AHH to RBW and showed it to Mark. He said it would work, as long as I placed a couple of nuts on the recessed cavities where the normal bolt and nut go, so the Pitlock would bite on the nuts and not just on the edge of the collar. I haven't tried it yet, but the answer was that as long as the pitlock is biting on the nuts and not on the edge of the collar, it should work perfectly.

That sounds like a possible solution. The trick is to find nuts that
fit in the holes, yet are tall enough to protrude a bit.
