I get GP's orientation to PBH but give the rest of the biking world a break. What are the actual dimensions of this frameset?

Agreed. I'm at the top end of the fit envelope and wouldn't be able to pull the trigger without a little more info.

E-mail someone at Riv and be specific as to what specs you are looking for , and you will get a reply !

Riv has  bike blueprints they can send you with numbers that will dazzle your mind!!
They sent me blueprints for the bike I was considering.
Helped me decide.
Sometimes posted geo charts are wrong, as the one for mine was. So the blueprint cleared it up.

I don't want f-ing blue prints, just a normal geo chart like every other bike company in the entire biking world. Shoot yourself in the foot for being different...and then beg us for money.

More importantly, Roman read eflayer's post and updated the Roadini page on rivbike.com.  He uploaded "the f-ing blueprints", which have more information than any geometry chart.  I don't know whether eflayer realizes his initial complaint caused change.  Have a look at the numbers that you care about.  They are all there.  Lots of numbers that you most likely don't care about are also there.

Here is a link to the f-ing blueprint of a 57cm Roadini.  I think it's beautiful, and informative.  https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1403/7343/files/ROADINI-570-Geo.jpg?7649874663519573416

did not mean to cause a sh*t storm. Riv has been very instrumental in my evolution of my own bike fit. Unless I missed it, and I may have, I did not see those links to blueprints when I looked at the website the other day. Did I miss those or did my comment have something to do with them showing up in the last 24 hours. Apologize for the attitude but stand by my thinking that more info mo better.

Gott in Himmel. This thread has certainly roused passions, if not manners. I don’t phone because I could spend all day on the phone learning from the Riv people, and I’m across an international border, so calls are pricey. I did write as soon as someone mentioned it, but hadn’t before because I thought that when the bikes showed up and the shipping frenzy passed, there might be more info. Anyway, now there is.

That's interesting, on the 61cm/XL at least, it looks like the top tube goes from 28.6 OD at the seat tube to 31.8 OD at the head tube. I can't recall seeing that kind of diameter change on other steel bikes.

The clearances look tight for a 33mm tire with a fender.

Thanks Bill,

For confirming my less than sweet posting led to the posting of the blueprints. Done and done.

It probably will not fit a 33 with fender. It is supposed to have the same clearances as the Roadeo, 35 with no fender 28 maybe 30 with.

Meant to also point out the actual sizes now listed are all one cm less than what is shown here--the 48 is now 47, the 51 is 50, etc. But I would guess the tire clearance mentioned here is still valid.

From the brochure:

2. the same tire clearances —up to a 35mm

with no fender, and easily a 28mm with.

3. roadini’s chainstays are a hair longer than

the roadeo’s (which are already longer than

most)—so it’s more stable, but still zippy.

4. the roadini top tube slopes up more, so it’s

easier to get the bars high. your roadini size is

2-3cm smaller than your roadeo size.

Am I reading this right? The 54cm has a 56.5cm effective top tube.

Yes. You are reading that correctly.

Which of course makes perfect sense, if you read what you posted from the brochure I posted--the Roadini sizes are 2-3cm smaller than the more conventional Roadeo sizes. So, the 54 Roadini will fit like a 56-57cm Roadeo, ergo, it has a 56.5cm effective top tube.

Yes, it's a "compact frame" sizing where someone who rides a horizontal-tt 54cm road bike (like myself) would get a 50cm Roadini.
