Today marks the first day it was warm enough in Mnpls for my sister to do her 7 mile bike commute. She stole her husband’s Clem L in 59 cm as he wasn’t riding it today and it is significantly nicer than her old red Birea. She was nervous about being late for work today and nearly talked herself out of biking, but for whatever reason, she slammed the saddle and took off down her unfairly gorgeous bike superhighway. She called me mid-ride screeching with joy. She was effortlessly flying down the road, eating up the miles and was, for the first time ever, FAST. She was just delighted and when she was done raving to me, she informed her husband she would be the one riding his bike to work now. He objected but encouraged her to purchase her own Rivendell Clem L.
You guys. I have checked everywhere and RBW and their dealers are OUT of 52s. 718 initially told us they had a Butternut in 52, but alas, turns out it was the Clem H. Butternut is her absolute favorite color. Which brings me to this.
Does anyone have a like-new butternut 52 Clem L that they might part with? She’s a little skittish about buying used and trusting someone with this much cash, but I think you’re good folks. If not, she’ll probably get one later this summer in whatever color is offered. But July is a long time to wait.
Thanks!
Leah

I'm wishing that a butterscotch Clem L comes her way soon. If not, perhaps she could persuade her husband into working from home until July, making his bike available for a daily ride?! :)

Ma'am,
Have you attempted to contact all the dealers from Riv's website?

Stephen, what is this Ma’am stuff?!? 😂
I’ve tried most of the dealers, but not the few that either don’t have a website or seem to do a lot of business.
Our preference is absolutely to give the dealers the business. So if a dealer is found to have such a bike, we will be on the phone quicker than a jackrabbit on a date! Thank you, Friend!
